We build complex marketing systems. Your business is not simple, why is your marketing simple? Here are the key components of a good marketing system:

1. Collect Data

There are so many ways to collect data they fall into a few groups:

  • OnSite – People fill out forms, click on links, and generally hang around on your site. Use Analytics to track what they’re looking at, what they’re clicking on, and collect all the data when they’re willing to give it to you.
  • OffSite – Each platform you are getting customers from will have it’s own metrics. Leadgen sites might have APIs you can connect, paid ads always have APIs, YouTube has metrics, Facebook has metrics. Heck, even Google’s willing to give you a little search data in Google Search Console.
  • Real World – Track your phone calls, track your app usage, track people visiting your store.

2. Manage Customers

There are systems to manage customer relationships. Once they’ve come in from a source you track all your interactions, calls, emails, sales, and even nurture them with your friendly communications.

3. Connect Everything

There’s a whole world of back-end systems out there to unify all the things. Many of them will act as a CRM as well. Here are some of the better aggregation systems out there:

  • Hubspot – The most ubiquitous for smaller businesses (non-enterprise). They connect to most data sources and have a robust CRM. They don’t work well with other CRMs so you’re kinda locked-in once you start using them.
  • Hatch – Your CRM go-between. They connect to all the lead-sources, website data, etc. and handle all customer communications. From phone to lead sites to forms, they handle customers for you.
  • ServiceTitan – Another all-in-one like Hubspot. They are great for the service industry and have a full feature suite from lead handling to technician routing.

Now Go

The hardest part is getting all these things to connect and work properly. The platforms offer help, but they are limited in what they can do. We can facilitate the setup of these complex systems and add the little things that will give you an advantage over your competitors.
